MMSI radio license

Get your radio license easily!

It is mandatory to have a radio on board your boat.

BarcoPolo will register an MMSI licence for your vessel.

This procedure will register your communications equipment
(VHF radio, radar, EPIRB, transponder) and allocate the official numbers.

If the boat owner is a company, the following documents will be required to obtain an MMSI license:

– A copy of the company's documents
– The radio list of equipment on board your boat (brand and model).

You can register the following equipment: VHF radio + optional: radar, EPIRB, transponder, and radar.

– The CE conformity declaration for each device (we can help you obtain them if you no longer have them).

– A copy of the registration of your boat in Poland.
– A mandate in your name that authorizes us to register you (the form will be provided to you by us)

If the boat owner is a private individual, the documents below will be required to obtain an MMSI licence:

- A copy of the radio operator's certificate (can be any European radio operator's certificate)
– La liste des appareils (marque et modèle).

You can register the following equipment: VHF radio + optional: radar, EPIRB, transponder, and radar.

- The CE declaration of conformity for each device (we can help you if you don't have them)
- A copy of your Polish vehicle registration,
– A mandate in your name that authorizes us to register you (the form will be provided to you by us)

The Polish MMSI can only be requested when you have received the original Polish registration document, and it can take around 3-4 weeks.

Portable devices like portable VHF radio are not registered in Poland, as Polish authorities do not require an MMSI license for mobile devices.

If you do not have an operator license, we can help you with your Polish MMSI by setting up a company in the UK for an additional EUR 300.

This company will be the operator of the boat, and we can apply for the MMSI license because companies do not need a radio operator license.

The Polish MMSI/radio license costs €149 in combination with the Polish flag registration or €199 if ordered alone.
